Paul Turner

Paul is a partner of Hannaford Turner, having previously worked at Clifford Chance (1982 to 2008) and Clyde & Co (2008 to 2018).

He has long experience of working with ship owners, ship operators, shipyards, debt and equity financiers, and other industry participants on a wide range of transactional matters including: asset and business acquisitions, disposals and combinations; shipbuilding and conversion projects; and management and operating arrangements.

Particular areas of expertise include the cruise sector in which he works for leading cruise lines on their shipbuilding and financing projects, and the mega yacht sector in which he works for a leading custom yacht builder, a leading brokerage and management group, and owners of mega yachts. Paul's expertise in these sectors is recognised by the shipping, ship finance and high net worth legal directories.

Paul is a co-author of Ship Sale and Purchase, the leading legal text book on the sale and purchase of second-hand ships.
